This week, I went to the DRC for one last retake on the IC3-GS5 Unit 1 Computing Fundamentals Exam. The result is in: I passed the exam!!! My score was 775, the closest I could get to passing this exam. Now I have passed all three IC3 exams!
It was fun being in this class. I liked the the SimNet Projects and Lessons. They helped me with learning how to use Excel, Word and PowerPoint. I also liked creating my slideshow. I used slide transitions, different fonts and background photos to create it. The A7 Mail Merge was hard at first, until I learned how to link the letters.
I might be able to use what I learned in IS-101 for my future computer classes and projects.

Week 15 - Failed Again
This week, I went to the DRC to re-retake the IC3-GS5 Unit 1 Computing Fundamentals Exam. I failed this exam with a score of 618. That score is better than my last attempt (598). I must be getting closer to the required score, 700. I am scheduled to go back to the DRC and retake that exam on Monday at 8am. It is a little early, but I'm taking my chances. It also may be my last shot at this exam because the semester is almost over. Time to finish this once and for all!

When I'm ready, I'll take this test and hope I pass it.

CSN Student Resource - Financial Aid
Financial Aid helped me pay for my college education. I was awarded the Federal Pell Grant since I am an undergraduate student and I haven't earned my bachelor degree. I applied online at the FAFSA with the help of my mother. We submitted all of our financial information which determined what loans and grants I would be eligible for. We also informed them where I will be attending college so they would know where to send my funding.

Week 12 - First Try!
This week, I went to the DRC to take the IC3-GS5 Unit 2 Key Applications Exam for IS-101. The result is in: I passed the exam! :) This was my first attempt! My score was 850.
Now I have another exam coming up in IS-101: the IC3-GS5 Unit 1 Computing Fundamentals Exam. I don't want to fail the exam on the last day either, so I'll follow Alpha_Church's plan to take the exam early. I'm studying for this exam using the 7 worksheets Mr. Wu posted on Canvas in Week 12A. I hope I pass this exam on my first attempt as well!
It took me a week, but I got my A7 Mail Merge done! I sent it to Mr. Wu and got feedback on what I did wrong. I re-submitted A7 again and again until I got it right.

Week 11 - Link an Object?
The students got onto their computers to take the IC3-GS5 Unit 2 Key Applications Exam. I scheduled with the DRC to take this exam on Tuesday at 2 pm.
I got started on A7 Mail Merge. I knew how to merge the letter and labels using the Wizard. One thing I didn't get was how do I link an object in the letter? I read and understood the instructions clearly, I just didn't know how to link the letters and labels on Word.

Week 10 - A6 Spreadsheet Analysis

Week 9 - Homepage
This week, I had Mr. Wu and a few students in this class help me improve my homepage. Now it has links to my resume and slideshow.
I noticed on Canvas that Week 9 for IS-101 wasn't on there. I wasn't able to finish the assignments for Week 9, until Mr. Wu made Week 9 visible to the classmates. As soon as that happened, I got my Week 9 assignments done. I also noticed on Canvas that my SimNet Projects grades changed from 1800% to 100%, which makes my total grade for IS-101 98.48%.

Week 8 - Presentations
I enjoyed the students' presentations. I especially liked the one with the "Sins of the Prophets". That presentation showed the classmates what the video game mod is about.
I also got a head start on my homepage. It looks a lot like my resume. I used the sub-domain that I created on AwardSpace, making18, to replace my old sub-domain for my blog: my26533. This is what I wanted: for my blog and web page to have the same sub-domain: making18.

Week 7 - Passed Exam
This week, I went back to the DRC to retake the IC3-GS5 Unit 3 Living Online Exam for IS-101. The result is in: I passed the exam!! :) My score was 716. All that studying really paid off, and that test voucher was worth the $17 I spent on it.
I made a presentation about my hometown, Lancaster, California with slide transitions, different fonts, and background photos. Then, today in class, I presented it to the classmates, and they all liked the work I put into it.

Week 6 - Resumes
It was the start of Week 6 in IS-101. Mr. Wu opened up his computer screen on my computer and he showed me the students' resumes. They looked neat, with the tables and fonts. Keep up the good work! :)
The test voucher that I purchased for retaking the IC3-GS5 Unit 3 Living Online Exam came in the mail. Once I have set up a time with the DRC to retake the exam, I'll retake it at that time.

This week, I went to the DRC to take the IC3-GS5 Unit 3 Living Online Exam for IS-101. I finished the exam and the result came in: I failed the exam. My score was 437. I do have a chance to retake this exam. I've purchased a test voucher and typed out what I believed I missed on the exam.

Week 4 - The Exam
It was the start of Week 4, and all the students got onto their computers to take the IC3-GS5 Unit 3 Living Online exam. All of them, except for me. I have completed the Pearson Vue Reasonable Adjustment Request Form from Certiport and sent it to the Disability Resource Center (DRC) via email. Once I have set up a time to take the IC3-GS5 Unit 3 Living Online exam, I'll take the exam at that time.

Week 3 - Better Than Last Time
Check it out! 0.5/2 on Bonus Quiz 2. That's half a point better than the last quiz (0/2). All that studying paid off, but I'll have more studying to do on the IC3-GS5 Unit 3 Living Online exam and the Bonus Quiz 3.

Week 2 - Failed Bonus Quiz
It was the start of Week 2 in IS-101. As soon as the class started and everyone got onto their computers, I noticed that a slide popped up on the computer screens like an ad. It was covering up the whole screen. Then our instructor handed out the bonus quiz. I thought of the best answers I could and wrote them down. I did not do so well on the quiz. 0 out of 2. Talk about a bad start!
Later on in the day, I learned about the Internet and TCP/IP. The instructor showed us what it's all about using a slideshow, then put it on our computers. I completed this week's lessons using Sim-net and Connect. It wasn't too hard for me.
Whatever gets in my way, I'll do my best in this class.

Week 1 - Longer Class
When I first got into the IS-101 computer class, I noticed that the students got onto their computers. I got onto mine and logged on. I didn't know what to do at first, but my instructor was there and he helped me out. I also handed in the early quiz I completed before the class started. I go to IS-101 on Saturdays 11:00 AM - 1:50 PM, but last Saturday, I stayed there longer to do some work. I was in that class until 4 PM. I missed the Para-transit bus, but I had my instructor take me home.
